2010 saw the rise and rise of social networks, a change of government and the worst recession seen since the Great Depression of the 1930s.
Despite this, our industry continued to grow, fuelled by social media and the need of small businesses to employ flexible, professional and on-going admin support.
SVA itself saw almost 60% uplift in new memberships in the last 6 months and 160% uplift in website visits over 2010, mostly thanks to our new WordPress site allowing us to update the site more frequently and integrate with Aweber blog broadcast and Twitter.
In 2011 SVA hopes to bring you:
- Updates to the SVA Guides – any previous buyers will receive the updates free of charge
- International Virtual Assistant
Week – In the third week of May, 19-22 May 2011, working with a number of industry associations and figureheads to promote the industry to a wider market. Put the date in your diary now! - The annual UK VA Survey – In association with Just Too Busy.
- Monthly newsletters – including articles, profiles and topics which all UK VAs need to know about, be they newbies or established VAs.
