Peer Support Advisor

Vicki Wilson

At the Society of Virtual Assistants, we believe that running a successful VA business should be open to everyone — regardless of ability or background. That’s why we’re proud to introduce Vicki Wilson as our Peer Support Advisor for virtual assistants with disabilities.

Vicki is the founder of Vicki Admin Fairy, and she brings not only a wealth of business experience, but also her own lived experience as a disabled business owner. She has cerebral palsy, uses a wheelchair, and understands first-hand some of the unique challenges and strengths that come with running a business while managing a long-term condition.

Her role is here to support disabled members of our community who are already working as VAs or who are thinking about starting their own business.

Recognised as one of the UK’s SmallBiz100 for 2025 for her inspiring work supporting VAs and disabled entrepreneurs.

Helpful Advice

Whether you have questions, need advice, or simply want to chat with someone who understands, Vicki is happy to offer one-to-one support sessions online. She can help with business guidance, signposting to relevant resources, and a listening ear from someone who’s been there.

This is a peer support service, built on lived experience. Vicki is not a legal or medical professional, nor a trained counsellor, but she offers practical help, encouragement and a supportive space to share what’s on your mind. Everything discussed is confidential and treated with care and respect.

You’ll soon find more information and a contact form on our website if you’d like to speak with her directly. In the meantime, you are very welcome here, just as you are.

This role forms part of SVA’s wider commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible community for all. If you have ideas on how we can improve access to our materials, support or events, we’d love to hear from you — it all helps us serve our members better.

Why was Vicki Wilson selected as an SVA Peer Support Advisor for VAs with disabilities?

Vicki is an absolute inspiration! Despite living with cerebral palsy, she’s built a successful, multi-award-winning VA business from home and has shown us all that disability doesn’t have to be a barrier to working flexibly and professionally.  Vicki is proof that being a VA can work for everyone, whether you have a disability or not, and I’m so please she is joining the SVA Team as a Peer Support Advisor.
