Society of Virtual Assistants January 2015 Newsletter
Over Christmas you may have noticed the forum being down – our database ran out of space (all those millions of posts!) but it has now been fixed and you should be able to log in as normal on www.societyofvirtualassistants.co.uk/svaforum
We’re still 50 entries short on the SVA Survey – we have over 1,400 members and just 70 have filled it out… If you haven’t managed to get it done yet, please can you take 15 minutes to help the industry and give us a snapshot of where you are? It’s disappointing to get such a low turnout when we do put a lot of work into it each year. Unless we get a statistically valid result of 10% of the industry, we can’t publish the results.
DO IT NOW!

Book Competition: Lean In
I think this book should be required reading for all women in business – specifically because I think it deals with a lot of the gender bias where we shoot ourselves in the foot, whilst acknowledging that men and women are different.
Anyway – if you’ve decided 2015 is your year for business and would like a kickstart to your motivation, we have a hardback copy to give away!
How do you like to network?
We’ve been looking for ways of updating how we interact with one another on SVA – we want to make it as easy as possible for you to reach out and get some immediate help whenever you need it. Be that advice on how to deal with a tricky client, what software packages people use or simply to post a job that you have available.
Tell us how you like to network online…
Secret Santas
If you took part in our Secret Santa Project, you should have received an email with details about where to send your gift… And your gift should be in the ether winging its way to you. Should you not receive any of these by 1st February, please let me know via email to info@societyofvirtualassistants.co.uk and we’ll try to resolve any issues.
