Society Of Virtual Assistants Newsletter: June 2014
Just back from the rather awesome Northern VA Collaboration…What a brilliant day, and so nice not having to trek all the way down south for it – Newcastle is practically Scottish anyway! More stuff from the event here and date for your diaries for next year: Sat 25th April 2015!!
I have rather a lot of congratulations this month:
- Congratulations to the Regional VAs of the Year: Joanne Hawkins (Northern Region) and Heather Greig (All-Ireland Region). Good luck for the finals in November at the VA Conference!
- Congratulations to Diane Murray who won The E Myth in our book competition – this month we are giving away Emma Jones’ part-time working bible “Working 5-9“.
- And big congratulations to PA Life Magazine who recently got shortlisted for a top publishing award.
Off the back of my Blog Award success, I’ve also launched a fun product for all you bloggers out there… And I have some freebies to give away – see below!

Win “Working 5-9” – Emma Jones
One for someone who wants to earn a part-time income but needs to keep their job. This book goes through 50 different ideas on how to make money working outside of traditional office hours, including being a virtual assistant.
I have a copy right here up for grabs…ENTER for your chance to win!
Another great freebie…
Fresh off being shortlisted as in the UK Top 10 Digital/Tech Bloggers, I’m launching a little project designed to help people come up with blog topics and write more regularly… Blogspiration!
This follows on from our Blogspiration posts on here, it will email you 5 ideas monthly for what to write about on your blog along with some useful tools for generating ideas and some personalised suggestions for your blog. We’ve priced this at £20 for the year, but since it’s a new concept, we need some guinea pigs to give us some feedback – I have 5 subscriptions to give away!
What have we been up to this month?
Win a book – This month we’re giving away “Working 5-9”

Can a computer replace a real VA? I rather cheekily put the latest “virtual VA” to the test…
