Top tips for Outsourcing: Don’t micromanage

Clients and VAs often complain to us about the quality of outsourcer there is out there… Here at SVA we want to promote best practice so that it reflects well on the whole industry, so we put together some tips on how to outsource your work safely.

Tip 9: Back off:  This is one I’m particularly guilty of myself…  We all have an inner control freak.  But unless you figure out how to clone yourself, no one is ever going to do everything exactly how you would do it.  The main thing is that your instructions are clear on what is not open to interpretation.  Anything else – well that’s your own fault for not specifying!
