Recommended Reading: Purple Cow by Seth Godin
This month’s review comes from Jo @ Seeking Serenity – many thanks Jo! If you have a book which you’d like to review, please email us the review (200-400 words) to info@societyofvirtualassistants.co.uk
I was asked to read this book (and many others) as part of my homework for a VA apprentice course that I have been on for the last 6 months (hence my silence in the forums!)
The book discusses how to transform your business by being remarkable, and talks about how to make your product/service stand out amongst the rest. The concept of it is quite clear, you see hundreds, even thousands of cows in fields and although you’ve looked and seen them, you don’t really take notice of them, but what if you saw a purple one? It would make you look twice, maybe more – you’d want to find out about it, and its not something you’re likely to forget!
Seth Godin makes you think about this and relates it to your business, focusing on quality rather than quantity.
This book is a great way to learn how to package and market your products!
There are lots of other useful pieces of information in this book – as its only 144 pages long – its a fairly quick read too!
