A multi-VA business is one where the VA has so much work she can’t truly do it all herself and needs to outsource to associates in order to get everything done.
Michelle Jamieson’s book is, I believe, the best on the subject. It asks some really hard questions of you before it gets into the nitty-gritty of how to recruit and train the right people for your business. Tough questions like:
- Are you a control freak?
- What is your motivation for doing this?
- How will you feel if the subcontractor VA screws a job up or better than you at servicing the clients?
- Do you really want to be a “traffic controller” instead of a VA?
But seriously, if you are thinking of hiring subcontract VAs, this is a great place to start.
