Society of Virtual Assistants November 2014 Newsletter

Hi there,Virtual PA-233

SVA Premier: We’ve been told there may have been some issues with SVA Premier members receiving their email training month to month – if this has affected you, please email me at info@societyofvirtualassistants.co.uk for a refund and also immediate activation on the system so you can start getting your goodies!!!

UK Blog Awards:  We’ve also been entered into the UK Blog Awards under 2 categories this year (Digital Tech and Education).  Please click through to vote – you need to vote under each category, which is a tad annoying, but it should raise the profile of VAs in the blogging community which is great as many of these small businesses will be looking to outsource!

Also: We are significantly down on the numbers of people who have filled in our SURVEY this year, unless we get enough people we can’t run it at all – which would be a shame as it gives a valuable insight to trends and numbers which are unavailable elsewhere.

And we are spreading a bit of Christmas cheer… Details below!

Looking for volunteer writers

We’re also looking for some volunteer writers for the website – stuff like reviewing products/services, writing about aspects of being a VA, noticing trends, doing a round up of what’s out there this month, technology, SEO, marketing… As I’m planning on taking some time off in the New Year we’ll have a bit of a gap in information, so I’m hoping to recruit some newbies to plug the gap!

You should be familiar with WordPress and able to commit to writing at least 6 articles of between 200-1,000 words for SVA.  These must be original material of interest to UK based VAs but can feature links to other websites as long as it’s not a giant sales pitch!

If interested, please email info@societyofvirtualassistants.co.uk with “VOLUNTEER WRITER” in the subject and we will send you some more info.

Something for Christmas?

As VAs we don’t get a Christmas party… But this year, we’re trying to put together a little bit of festive cheer with our Secret Santa Project.  It’s not something we’ve done before and it will very much depend on people getting into the festive spirit and helping one another!

The idea is that you give to get and we’ll try to match up what you’re donating with what another VA needs.  More details here: https://societyofvirtualassistants.co.uk/?p=3669
